This master’s program is taught in English and has a duration of 2 academic years (4 semesters) leading to the accumulation of 120 ECTS.

Minimum requests:

Academic and professional background for Romanian candidates:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, regardless of field, provided the level of studies and the diploma are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Research of Romania
  • Experience in the creative or cultural industries sector 

For other EU citizens and the Swiss Confederation:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent diploma recognized by the competent department of the Ministry of Education and Research prior to the registration (the process may take up to 30 days).
  • Experience in the creative or cultural industries sector 

Admission procedure

The admission process consists of the online registration of the application file and an oral exam. 

Online registration includes:

  • Curriculum Vitae in English;
  • One letter of motivation (maximum allowed: 2 pages) in English;
  • Two letters of recommendation;

The oral exam will consist of:

  • Candidates presenting a project or business idea in the field of creative or cultural industries (e.g. Book and Press, Performing Arts, Audio-Visual and Cinematography, Advertising, Arts, Design, Architecture, Cultural Heritage, Crafts);

The admission average grade point is determined as follows:

  • 50% evaluation of the application files: Bachelor exam average – 10 points, letter of motivation – 15 points, recommendation letter and CV – 25 points (50 points)
  • 50% oral exam:  an interview for knowledge assessment in the field, with questions from members of the commission and a presentation and evaluation of the project idea (50 points)

*The oral exam will be held online, in the English language.

A minimum of 60 / 100 points is required in order to be admitted. If you are unsure whether you qualify for this program, feel free to contact our admissions team for more information.

Number of places: 40 (with tuition fee only).

Tuition fee per year:

    • tuition fee for EU citizens: 10.000 RON/year
    • application fee for EU citizens : 250 RON

The interview is composed of two parts:

  • an oral exam, to evaluate the knowledge of the candidate in the field – please find the recommended bibliography for the exam below
  • presentation of a project or business idea in the field of creative or cultural industries

The members of the interview commission will be professors from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

CONTENTS OF THE MASTER’S ADMISSION FILE 

Candidates, other than those who have graduated from undergraduate programs at ASE, class of 2022, will fill in their identification data, including email address and phone number, when they sign up, and they’ll upload on the admitere.ase.ro platform one file at a time (the copy will include all the pages of a document and will not be uploaded page by page) for the following documents (copies in .pdf or .jpeg/.jpg format, where applicable):

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent);
  2. Transcript or diploma supplement from the undergraduate program;
  3. Baccalaureate diploma (or equivalent) and transcript (or equivalent);

Graduates of study programs abroad, in addition to the bachelor’s degree / graduation certificate, must upload on the platform admitere.ase.ro the copy of the certificate / equivalence certificate issued / issued by the Ministry of Education and Research – CNRED and will send before registration, at internationaladmission@ase.ro, the study documents (bachelor’s degree or equivalent, diploma supplement, and copy of the certificate issued by CNRED) for the equivalence of the grades.

  1. Birth certificate;
  2. Identity card / passport (for foreign citizens);
  3. Marriage certificate (if applicable);
  4. Personal statement – generated at registration, by which the candidate declares that agrees to the processing of personal data. (Annex 8)
  5. An ID/passport photo, jpg or jpeg format;
  6. Proof of payment of the registration fees for those who pay by bank transfer (recommended: online payment on the admission platform).Standard medical certificate, issued no later than six months before the enrollment date by the medical offices (school or territorial) or by the family doctor, from which it should result that the applicants are fit for enrollment in college;
  7. English Proficiency Certificate (optional);
  8. Other documents certifying special status (Roma minority, social protection system, registration fees exemptions according to art. 39);
  9. Personal statement regarding the authenticity of the documents uploaded on the admission platform and the correspondence between the digital / scanned documents and the original ones (Annex 9);
  10. Curriculum Vitae in English
  11. One letter of recommendation (in Romanian or English)
  12. Motivational letter (maximum allowed: 2 pages / in English)
  13. Other documents required by the admission methodology, for the master’s programs with special admission conditions (according to Annex 4).

Citizens of other member states of the European Union, of the states belonging to the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation, the candidates benefiting from a form of protection in Romania, who do not have CNP (Romanian Numerical Personal Number) – will send before registration, to the address internationaladmission@ase.ro study documents (bachelor’s degree, diploma supplement / transcript, baccalaureate diploma or equivalent, transcript and copy of the certificate issued by CNRED) and will request the ID in order to access the online platform and establish the averages of competition.


If the study and / or civil documents (birth / marriage certificate) are written in a language other than Romanian, copies of the Romanian translations, legalized, will be uploaded on the platform www.ase.ro

Note:

The official admission platform is admitere.ase.ro and will be used for the entire admission process, from pre-registration, to the ranking of the applicants, the distribution by faculties (admitted applicants, waiting list and rejected applicants), type of financing (budgeted place or with tuition fee) and the final results of the admission process (admitted and rejected applicants lists). 

The applicants will be able to check permanently on their status throughout the different steps of the admission process by checking on the platform admitere.ase.ro. The registration period is 20-24 July 2023 without exception. 

By the deadline, all the application documents shall be uploaded, the order of the options registered by types of financing and the applicant must have confirmed the end of the registration by hitting the button ”Trimite pentru înscriere” (=Submit for registratin) The documents shall be uploaded on the admission platform.
